Energy Efficient Building Workshop

Sustainable building is a global challenge with the wisdom of reducing energy consumption, reducing  pollution, protecting the environment and ecology, protecting health, improving productivity and sustainable development. 

Located at the European style French Concession, Creater Space Huashan is the first of its kind to have a positive energy office space by applying rooftop solar for clean electricity and a central air filtration system to maintain a good, healthy indoor air quality for its members.

We have invited two speakers from the energy efficient building area to talk about how energy efficiency buildings can utilize technology, the internet of things (IoT) and data to optimize energy consumption of the building, drawing from past case studies. In addition, we have experienced the comfort level of a space enhances the individual’s well-being. For the first time, a workshop on energy efficient building will be linked to the individual’s well-being, explained by Alan Leung - founder of Olive Branch.

Alan Leung

      Alan Leung is the founder of Olive Branch, a private fitness & nutrition consulting firm that emphasises safe and effective exercise in combination with proper nutrition and lifestyle coaching. Alan is a certified professional in both PICP strength & conditioning and Pn1 Precision Nutrition.Born in Toronto, Canada, Alan now owns and operates a private studio in Shanghai, China, where he runs high-intensity circuit training sessions and TRX strength training classes. Alan also provides customized personal training and nutrition solutions for individual clients and corporate packages for companies looking for workforce wellness solutions.

Eva Hsu 

     Eva Hsu is a bilingual business development expert specialized in energy efficient technologies in decarbonizing buildings. Her works include rooftop solar and financing for international companies and LEED certified factories, energy monitoring system for luxury boutique showrooms, retail stores and office spaces. She is currently working on LEED certifications for international companies that have locations in China. She has a passion for sports and personal well-being.

Sam Michael

      Sam has studied and worked in China for over 12 years.  Previously focused on real estate, Sam has senior management experience in leasing and investment with multinationals covering industrial, commercial and retail real estate.  At Global Logistics Properties he had roles ranging from covering many of the companies national accounts to managing a 700,000 sqm portfolio of factories in Suzhou.  At Value Retail, Sam led the food and beverage leasing for Suzhou and Shanghai Villages, 32,000sqm and 50,000sqm shopping outlets respectively, in addition to being the local contact for the retail brands.  Sam is currently Executive Director at AtmosAir Asia where he is the first employee in Asia for AtmosAir and is leading company set up and sales.
